Burgess Optical 2" Dielectric coated diagonal

The Burgess Optical 2" diagonal with dielectric coatings is a premium diagonal suited for use with any refractor telescope. The Dielectric Diagonal has 99% reflectivity. The mirror in the Dielectric Diagonal is low thermal-expansion glass that is polished to approximately 1/16^th wave before coating. After the dielectric coatings are applied, the mirror has a nominal 1/10^th wave surface. That is a 1/10^th wave variation across the full surface - edge to edge - not just the centre of the mirror

Includes a zero-height 1-1/4" adapter. Both the diagonaland the adapter have a compression ring clamping mechanism.

Lumicon 2" Enhanced Diagonal

The Lumicon 2" Enhanced Aluminium Diagonal reflects 96 to 97 percent of the light from the telescope's primary optics directly into your eyepiece.  Its single 1/8 wave precision-polished surface is superior to the three surfaces of prism diagonals.  Lumicon collimates each diagonal mirror via a double-pass collimator, ensuring that the light reflected from the diagonal is perfectly perpendicular to the telescope's optical axis.

The Lumicon 2" LumiBrite Dielectric Coated Diagonal reflects 98 percent of the light from the telescope's primary optics into your eyepiece.  Its single 1/8 wave precision polished surface is superior to the three surfaces of prism diagonals.  The Dielectric Coating is smoother and even more durable than an enhanced aluminium coating, providing maximum image contrast.
